" With the manchegan from La Mancha, there´s a lot of wine,
a lot of bread, oil and lard,
and if you go to La Mancha do not get upset,
because you are going to the land of Don Quixote. "
This work presents the Manchegan woman as a paradigm of universal woman, and does so in a place like La Mancha, which allows anything to happen, even the impossible. Three Manchegan women from different generations, meet on the banks of the Júcar river to wash clothes. And so the play begins with a surprising reversal of roles by its three players to bring us to the conclusion that the three are in fact the same woman. The whole argument is centered around the figure of Fermín, the man that has marked their existence.
